Exhibitions of Service Learning Projects
Exhibitions of Service Learning projects will be carried out in the leading Catholic Schools to display over 190 youth-led projects. During the exhibitions, the students of the Catholic schools will showcase their projects, activities, achievements, experiences and challenges to the general public. It is noteworthy to mention that YES Network Pakistan trained the principals and the teachers of the leading Catholic schools at the begining of the year 2009 for introducing and institutionalizing the concept of Service Learning in their respective schools for the very first time.
Establishment of 30 Youth-led Service Networks
YES Network Pakistan will establish 30 youth-led service networks in the areas of the greatest need by the end of June 2010. YES Network Pakistan will select, organize, train, equip and engage youth from disadvantaged communities in designing and implementation of service projects. These service networks will be provided training and seed funding for the setting-up of service projects. YES Network Pakistan is at the moment seeking expression of interest from youth across Pakistan.
Capacity Building of 400 teachers
YES Network Pakistan has recently carried out a need assessment of the teachers of leading schools in Pakistan with the objective of building their capacity in the areas of the greatest need. YES Network Pakistan will be organizing training sessions for approximately 400 teachers to enhance their professional skills.
Training Sessions for youth on Social Entrepreneurship
YES Network Pakistan will be organizing training sessions for approximately 200 youth on social entrepreneurship starting from November 2009. The sessions will be held to equip youth with sound knowledge of social entrepreneurship and to inspire them to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity in addressing issues that are affecting them and their communities.
