Launching of "Bridging the Digital Divide" Project

YES Network Pakistan has launched "Bridging the Digital Divide" project to assist teachers and principals of leading schools in acquiring brand new laptops. This project has been launched to fill the vacuum existing in the area of ICTs in schools. During the first phase, YES trained the teachers of the schools in basic ICTs skills and in the second phase YES has launched this project to ensure the access of ICT technology to the teachers involved in the trainings.

A Relief Project launched for the children of IDPs

YES Network Pakistan has launched a project to provide shelter, relief, care and education services to the children of internally displaced families. YES Network Pakistan has created a local service delivery mechanism by mainstreaming young educated girls of the internally displaced families for providing these services. Service Learning project launched in the leading Catholic Schools

YES Network Pakistan has launched Service Learning program for the first time in the educational institutions of Pakistan. YES Network Pakistan has been conducting sensitization sessions with the principals of the leading schools for the integration of the Service Learning concept. Recently, the Catholic Board of Lahore has approved the implementation of Service Learning program. YES Network Pakistan has trained and engaged over 350 teachers in the designing and implementation of Service Learning projects. For more information please the following link.

YES joins Asia Pacific Future 100 Fellowship Program

Call for Nominations, Asia Pacific Future 100, Open to social entrepreneurs and changemakers in Asia under the age of 30 years.

The Asia Pacific Future 100 is open for applications.
The annual Asia Pacific Future 100 program is a regional youth entrepreneurship campaign to provide young and inspirational entrepreneurs from Asia as role models to our youth to raise entrepreneurship awareness in Asia Pacific.
100 young entrepreneurs and social Changemakers under the age of 30 years will be selected for a one- year fellowship and their stories will serve as inspiration to foster an entrepreneurial culture among our youth.
The annual Asia Pacific Future 100 is a much-needed program in Asia that aims to ignite the entrepreneurial spirit among our youth in Asia Pacific.
It aims to tackle:
1. The lack of entrepreneurial role models, which are needed to inspire young people to become entrepreneurs.
2. To provide technical assistance and support to young entrepreneurs to take their business to the next level.
The profile of Asia Pacific Future 100 members includes young entrepreneurs under the age of 30 who are an inspiration to other young people because they dared to stride out by setting up their own business, social enterprise or NGO. They have overcome challenges by realizing their vision and believing in themselves.
Asia Pacific Future 100 is a regional nomination process. Nominations are invited from: Mongolia , China , Japan , Laos , Cambodia , Vietnam , Philippines , Brunei , Bangladesh , India , Pakistan , Nepal , Bhutan , Thailand , Malaysia , Singapore , South Korea , Sri Lanka , Indonesia and Myanmar . May- August 2009: Nomination period
1st - 14th September: Jury consultation
15th- 21st September: Audit
20th- 22nd October: Change Catalyst Conference
20th October 2009 - October 2010: Fellowship program

The Foundation for Youth Social Entrepreneurship (FYSE) is a regional organization with the aim to inspire and empowering young people to take actions which create positive change and real impact in their communities, their countries and Asia . By providing a range of tailored support including campaigning and training that is youthful, exciting and dynamic FYSE aims to inspire youth to take actions now, no matter how big or small their actions might be.
