Rashida Ahsan Youth Service Award

This award honors Youth Teams whose actions exemplify a caring spirit. The Rashida Ahsan Youth Service Award for outstanding community Service is presented monthly to a Youth Team with an outstanding commitment to address community needs. This commitment should be demonstrated through the development of an exceptional program or activity that go well beyond the traditional service role of service providers and reach communities whose needs are not being met. The award highlights youth service as an important element in meeting high service needs of the community and re-branding the image of disadvantage youth as the most promising resource.

YES Network Pakistan recognizes the "passion, self-sacrifice, achievement and excellence" of young people involved in the public service by means of the Rashida Ahsan Youth Service Award. This award is sponsored by the granddaughter of Ms. Rashida Ahsan. Ms. Rashida Ahsan was an exceptional woman with an undying passion to help the helpless people particularly disadvantaged women. Ms. Saman has sponsored this award to pay tribute to her grandmother who had exhibited the highest standards of excellence, commitment, dedication and accomplishment over a sustained period of time.

The winner will be chosen from only YES Network Pakistan's created Youth Service Teams of disadvantaged young people working at grassroots level. The winning team will receive a cash award of Rs 5000, a certificate of achievement, a note of congratulations from the YES Network Pakistan. The winner of each month will be announced in the last week of every month.
